The Good News!
Have you heard The Good News? The news that there is a narrow path that leads to salvation? The news that we don’t need to bear the weight of this world alone? The news of a love that abounds greater than any other love this world can offer? ….The news of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
The Good News is the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the one and only Son of God who was sent down from heaven to die for our sins. The Gospel is a collection of 4 testimonies (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John) in the New Testament that document the real life events of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Tim Tebow once said “The Gospel is the greatest love story and rescue mission of all time.” In short, there’s not a better way to put it. I’m sure you’ve heard someone say before that they would die for the person they love the most. Well, we rarely are put in situations where this is put to the test. However, what if you were told that you are loved so much, someone actually did pay the ultimate price and died for you. This is what happened on the cross approximately 2,000 years ago. It’s the most documented historical event in human history; and it’s the greatest love story and rescue mission of all time.

Tucked in the heart of Jerusalem’s Old City, this sacred structure marks the site where many believe Jesus was crucified, buried, and resurrected. Originally built in the 4th century by Emperor Constantine the Great, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre has stood as a beacon of Christian faith for over 1,700 years.
The weathered stone facade seen here holds layers of history — from Byzantine foundations to Crusader arches — each bearing witness to centuries of devotion, destruction, and restoration. Today, it remains a powerful destination for pilgrims around the world, inviting reflection, reverence, and peace.

We know that if you’re hearing this for the first time, or if you haven’t put your faith in Jesus yet, you could have a lot of questions. Although there’s probably a lot more questions than these, we’ve done our best to cover some that you may have:
Why would Jesus need to die for me?
Have you heard of the story of Adam and Eve and the fruit that was eaten from the tree of good and evil? Well from the very first humans that walked the earth, sin was brought into the world. Sin is the evil of this world that we try our best to fight off every day. The problem is…it’s a never ending battle. The solution is…Jesus won the battle of sin by dying for us. His death washes away our sins in the eyes of God the Father as long as we put our faith in Him.
How can He love someone that wasn’t even born yet when He died?
In John 8:58 Jesus says “Before Abraham was, I am.” Jesus is stating here that He was here before the prophet Abraham walked the earth. This rattled the Jews at the time because that was about 2,000 years prior to the time that He said it. Also in Revelation 1:8 Jesus says “ I am the Alpha and Omega.” Alpha and Omega are the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet so what Jesus is saying here is He was here from the very beginning and will be here in the very end. So whether we’re talking about someone born yesterday, today, or tomorrow, He loves all of us because He knows all of us from the beginning to the end of time.
How do I put my faith my Jesus Christ?
In John 3:16 Jesus says” For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.” This is by far the most important verse in the New Testament. It gives us the answer we need to know without a doubt what we must do to have eternal life in heaven with God. Your first step is to say it with your mouth, and believe it in your heart: “Jesus, I give you my life, come in to my heart, wash away my sins, I believe you died on the cross and resurrected for my salvation. I dedicate my life to you for now and forever. Amen.”

Nestled just outside Jerusalem’s Old City walls, the Garden Tomb is a tranquil site that many believe could be the true location of Jesus’ burial and resurrection. Discovered in the 19th century, this rock-cut tomb closely matches the biblical description of the place where Jesus was laid.
Surrounded by flowering plants and ancient stone pathways, the site offers visitors a space for peaceful reflection and worship. Whether viewed as the actual tomb or a symbolic reminder, it stands as a powerful representation of hope, resurrection, and renewal.

Jesus said in Matthew 28:19-20 “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always to the very end of the age.”
